About milinia

milinia is a magazine about money, life and investments, written for people who live, work or invest in Germany and Europe. No product sales in the text, no paid rankings, but calculators that run in your browser and people who answer when you want a watch, gold or a property valued.

The name

milinia is an invented word. It sounds like millions and milestones, like the long road on which wealth is built. We write it in lower case because money needs no monument, only everyday practice.

Why this magazine

Financial knowledge about Germany is scattered: a forum here, a comparison portal there, a bank adviser with a commission interest somewhere else, most of it in German only. milinia bundles fifteen topics, twelve countries and twelve regions in one place, in English, and connects them with tools that turn knowledge into a decision.

How we work

Our articles rest on German legislation, figures from the statistical offices, the Bundesbank, the German pension insurance and market data. Where we quote numbers they are reference values as of 2026, not advice. We name no product brands and link to no providers. When we praise or criticise a form of investment, it is because of its mechanics.

Buying and advice

On the page Buying & Advice you can have a watch or gold estimated, plan a gold investment, have a property valued or your portfolio checked. People answer these requests, not automated systems, and they carry no obligation. A transaction only arises once you accept an offer.

The tools

All calculators, the subsidy finder, the insurance check and the money type quiz run entirely in your browser. There is no tracking, no cookies and no third-party server. What you enter stays with you.
