How do you determine the price?
Weighing on a calibrated scale, fineness by X-ray fluorescence, multiplication with the day’s gold price, minus a margin we state in advance. Everything in front of you or by video.
Do I pay tax on the sale?
No, if you have owned the gold for more than a year or inherited it. Inherited pieces are always tax-free in Germany.
What about gold-plated jewellery?
Plating contains hardly any gold and is worthless for buying. We tell you honestly instead of naming a token price.
Do you buy branded jewellery?
Yes, and for pieces from well-known houses we first check whether the collector value exceeds the material value. Melting is then the worst option.
